Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after her move from Israel to the United States as a child actor. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 to 2016 - and then in 2020 - have earned her acclaim. Apart from her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were both two years old, immigrated to America to escape antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties resulted in her appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit after her sophomore year, she was able to get a GED and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She was a member of improv comedy group the Upright Citizens Brigade.
